Time for another update to everyone on a few of the things that are happening in the back ground. Not too many at last Friday’s Pizza evening and it was strange walking around the outside of a blacked out Riverside LC.
With respect to the postponed home match today, we have been give a couple of dates by Taunton to rearrange the Division One Torexe Hunters v Taunton match.
Next weekend (5th Mar) is a big weekend for our SW men’s team, with the support of the other teams we have been able to switch venues. The Torexe Topguns match will now be played in Bristol. The SW Ladies match on the 12th Mar has also been moved from the Riverside and will now take place in Barnstaple.
We are currently following up a number of leads for other venues for our local league matches but nothing that we can anounce at the moment, as we are waiting to hear back from team members as to their availability.
As we have not yet received a re-opening date from the Riverside LC we have asked for permission to collect our equipment this week. We will make this available to all team contacts as required.
Here is some more information on the training sessions Exeter Storm have invited us to:
Juniors: Monday 18:00-19:45, at Exeter College (new hall) – training fees = £4
Ladies: Monday 19:15-21:00, at Exeter College (new hall) – training fees = £5
Men: Wednesday 20:00-21:30, at Exeter School – training fees = £5
The junior sessions are open to anyone aged 11 to 18 and all juniors are welcome to stay on to the ladies training for an extra £1. The juniors and ladies sessions are open to all abilities. The men’s training session is open to all who would normally have attended our Monday session.
The new Exeter College sports centre, in Queen Street, EX4 3SR, is tucked behind other large buildings, so most people don’t know where it is. Opposite Exeter Central, there is a lane running between Rougemount Hotel and Angel Bar / Victoria House. If you follow this lane, you’ll find yourself in the sports centre car park.
