Well done to the Torexe Juniors today, who came out top in the latest round of the EDVA Ladies Development Tournament. A fantastic achievement considering that only four months ago in the first round of this tournament they were playing in their first indoor tournament and came last.
Toby Tapp, Ellie Self, Nadia Kelly-Smith, Jaz Crispin-Vile, Jenny Caton-Pike, Kirsty Tapp, Nadia Begleri and coach Jenny Scott.
Although their last match of the day against the South West U16 team finished in a one set all draw, they had picked up good 2-0 wins over Marjon University and Taunton Juniors in the final group round of matches to claim the top spot.
Torexe team “Ask Mum” finished in fifth place and top of the second group, picking up good wins over Kings and PMVC Ivybridge.
